Advice and Guidance
Speak to a Careers Advisor in a one to one session about any careers related subject, such as your future options, help with making decisions or help to prepare for interviews and assessment centres. There is no need to book, just come to the Careers Service for a 15-minute appointment. A follow on 45-minute session can then be booked after the initial meeting.
Workshops
The Careers Service organises a range of talks and interactive workshops covering a variety of topics including CVs and Applications, Career Planning, Interview Skills and Networking. Practice ‘mock’ interview sessions are also available to those preparing for interviews.
Careers Resources
There is a very comprehensive “Resources” section of the Careers website including a Careers Catalogue of books, journals and websites. Also, support from Bristol Graduates in the Careers Network, international career information and employer directories. The Video Directory covers topics such as CVs, interviews, job hunting, career planning and career change.
Careers Fairs and Employer Events
The Investment Banking and Consultancy Evening is held during the Autumn Term, with all of the major Banks and Consultancies in attendance. Employers also run their own events throughout the Autumn Term too. These events provide the chance to speak to representatives from the various institutions on a one to one basis.
